Recency Frequency (RF6) model
The Recency Frequency model, also known as RF6, is a segmentation system that defines an individual's relationship (or lack thereof) with your healthcare system based on how recently and frequently they’ve had visits.
| R is for Recency | F is for Frequency | 6 Segments |
|---|---|---|
| When was the individual's most recent visit? | How often has the individual had visits? | Model has 6 segments. |
Depending on the segment assigned, the model helps you answer:
- How recently and/or frequently has an individual been to my hospital or seen one of my providers?
- How does this affect the message I send to an individual?
- What are the demographic characteristics of individuals within a given segment?
