The Cost Matrix tab is  the same as Cost Schedule in Ignite Growth Platform is pre-populated with the same values input as part of campaign set up. The value of having it available as part of reporting is that you  can make changes to the costs to view different reporting scenarios - and the changes won’t impact what is in Ignite Growth Platform and do not carry forward from one session to the next (it resets to match the Cost Schedule information each time you access reporting).

Example:
You have a campaign that will be running for 12 months. Some of your costs are added as Fixed Yearly.  Six months into the campaign, you’d like to look at ROI for just that timeframe. Instead of using the full year’s costs to calculate ROI, you can change the value to be equal to the cost for just those 6 months.

WebMD Ignite note iconREMINDER: If you update ”Fixed” values on this tab, the update will be reflected throughout the report. However, the changes will not be permanent, and only appear for the duration of your session. To permanently change the cost values, please update the Cost Schedule in Ignite Growth Platform.

Free-text fields include:
Per Piece (Email, Direct Mail, Outbound Call): Values entered here are multiplied by the number of pieces with an email send, direct mail drop, or outbound call.
Example: if you enter $1 per piece for Direct Mail, and 100 pieces have gone out, we will see $100 in the report. However, if next month another drop of 100 pieces goes out, your report will automatically reflect $200 without needing to make any updates to the Cost Matrix.
Fixed One-Time: Values entered here are applied as a fixed value, without any recurring additions. They are incorporated into the campaign calculations immediately.
Fixed Yearly: Values entered here are applied as a fixed value, and will incrementally increase for each additional year that has contacts.
A year is marked as 1 year since the first date of contact for the campaign.
An additional year of cost is only added if there are new contacts. For example, if I send direct mail pieces in January 2022 and January 2023, the Fixed Yearly costs will be added twice. If, however, I only send pieces in January 2022 and track downstream for 15 months, the Fixed Yearly cost will only apply once.
Fixed Quarterly: Same methodology as Fixed Yearly, but applied quarterly.
Fixed Monthly: Same methodology as Fixed Yearly, but applied monthly.
