How do we identify when tracking begins and ends for each channel?
Answer
The specific answer depends on the date setting and channel.
When you select, Any Date (Default setting):
For push channels (direct mail, email, outbound call), the platform uses these start and end dates for reporting tracking:
- Start date:
- Direct mail: Date sent (manually entered). Note that this is *required* or direct mail ROI and reporting will not be calculated.
- Email: Date sent (automatically received from your marketing automation integration)
- Outbound call: Date the list is downloaded (automatically defined when downloaded)
- End date:
- Direct mail: Most recent lead (form, HRA, phone call)
- Email: Most recent lead (form, HRA, phone call)
- Outbound call: Most recent lead (form, HRA, phone call)
For pull channels (paid social, organic social): The platform uses these start and end dates for reporting tracking:
- Start date: The 1st lead associated with each channel (as long as it is being tracked using a URL generated in Ignite Growth Platform)
- End date: The most recent lead associated with each channel (as long as it is being tracked using a URL generated in Ignite Growth Platform)

- Email: Date sent if it falls within the selected data range or 1st lead that falls within the selected date range
- Outbound call: Date the list is downloaded if it falls within the selected date range or 1st lead that falls within the selected date range
- End date:
- Direct mail: Most recent lead that falls within the selected date range (form, HRA, phone call)
- Email: Most recent lead that falls within the selected date range(form, HRA, phone call)
- Outbound call: Most recent lead that falls within the selected date range (form, HRA, phone call)
