Question
When using Market Planner Insights, the counts often don't match what I'm seeing in the most recent Census data - why?
Answer
Market Planner Insights leverages consumer data from WebMD Ignite's 3rd party partner. This data is in addition to the Person data provided by your organization (e.g., EMR, Custom Activity, etc.). When viewing counts in the Market Planner Insights module, for example, Prospects, the data is sourced from the 3rd party and NOT derived from the 2020 Census data.
Because they are 2 different data sets, WebMD Ignite advises to NOT compare the counts as our 3rd party consumer data set and the 2020 Census data set each serve different purposes and the data sets are generated from distinct and different sources.
Neither is inherently more accurate than the other as they reflect different aspects of the population.
